Delhi Public School conducted the General Assembly after the summer vacation for the Kindergarten wing (pre Nursery to Class 1). The assembly began with an interactive discussion about the children’s summer vacations. Students from different classes enthusiastically shared where they had been, the places they visited, the exciting activities they enjoyed, and the wonderful memories they created with their families. It was delightful to see the children confidently expressing their experiences and listening to one another with great interest. On July 2, 2026, the school organized an Inter-House Live Experiment Challenge Competition in the ATL Lab for students of classes VIII to XII. Participants demonstrated their scientific temper by performing hands-on experiments that required precision, safety, and a deep understanding of core concepts.Adding a unique academic touch, students were evaluated on a diverse set of criteria including Scientific Concept, Creativity, Procedure & Safety, Presentation, Teamwork, and Q&A. Despite the pressure of a live setting, the teams showcased excellent technical skills, analytical thinking, and collaborative spirit.The competition was judged on the basis of experiment execution, neatness of data, and the ability to explain the underlying science during the Q/A session. To bridge the gap between abstract mathematical concepts and real-world applications, a hands-on activity on Arithmetic Progressions (AP) was conducted today for Grade-X students at DPS. The session focused on helping students identify and construct AP models from their daily surroundings. Students engaged in analyzing practical scenarios, such as calculating monthly savings increments, tracking. Patato race, Patterns in seating arrangements, and even stack heights of coins & bricks. By constructing their own real-life word problems and finding the common difference and first term. abstract formulas came alive. This interactive exercise successfully enhanced analytical skills, transforming a textbook topic into a tangible, problem-solving tool for everyday life.

Delhi Public School, Dehradun celebrated International Yoga Day with great zeal and participation on June 21, 2026. DPS Dehradun cadets performed excellently at the NCC camp held at IPS School, Rajawala. They secured second position in march past and drill competitions. The cadets also won a silver medal in the debate competition, bringing pride to the school.

School Excursion to Kanatal: A Journey into Nature and Spirituality “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” The students of Classes XI and XII of Delhi Public School, Kalagaon, Dehradun embarked on an exciting two-day educational and recreational trip to Kanatal from 29th May 2026 to 30th May 2026. Filled with enthusiasm and anticipation, they departed from the school in the morning and began a memorable journey amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Kanatal, the students enjoyed lunch, settled into their respective rooms, and later visited the famous Dhanaulti Eco Park. The cool mountain breeze, drifting clouds, mist-covered landscapes, breathtaking Himalayan views, and a light drizzle created a magical atmosphere as students enjoyed trekking, photography, and memorable moments with friends. The evening was equally delightful, with a lively bonfire, music, dance, refreshments, and a sumptuous dinner fostering camaraderie and unforgettable memories. The second day dawned with renewed excitement as students explored the local market before proceeding to the revered Surkanda Devi Temple. “Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.” Dedicated to Goddess Surkanda Devi, one of the sacred Shakti Peethas, the temple's tranquil ambience inspired students to appreciate faith, perseverance, and inner strength. While most students trekked to the temple with their teachers, a few availed themselves of the ropeway facility under the supervision of other dedicated staff members. After offering prayers, the students began their return journey. The trip provided valuable lessons in teamwork, resilience, appreciation of nature, and respect for cultural and spiritual heritage. Students and teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Principal Mr. B.K. Singh and the Management Team for organizing such a wonderful and enriching experience.

Day 5 – The Grand Finale of Skill Safari Summer Camp! The last day was pure fun aur masti from morning till goodbye. We started with a refreshing nature walk where our little explorers laughed, observed, and learned how to enjoy nature’s beauty without harming it. Every step was a lesson in love for our Earth. Today was the third day of the Summer Camp, and the theme was Pyjama Party. Wow! The children were extremely excited, happy, and full of energy. Our little stars came dressed in beautiful night suits and colorful pyjama sets, looking absolutely adorable, smart, and cheerful. As the children entered, the fun began with music, dance, and lots of excitement. The kids enjoyed a wonderful Balloon Dance Activity, where they danced happily with their friends and had an amazing time. The highlight of the day was the much-awaited Movie Day. The classroom was beautifully arranged like a mini movie hall with proper lighting and a cozy setup. Children brought their popcorn and snacks, which made the experience even more exciting and enjoyable. The movie shown today was Swapped, and the children were thrilled and fully engaged while watching it with their friends. The entire day was filled with laughter, enjoyment, fun, and happy memories. The children truly had the best movie-time experience at school and went home with smiling faces and joyful hearts.

Delhi Public School successfully launched its much-awaited Skill Safari Summer Camp, inaugurated by Principal Mr. B.K. Singh. In his inaugural address, he encouraged students to embrace new experiences and wished them success for the exciting journey ahead. Day 1 set an energetic tone for the camp. Students began with a mindfulness session to cultivate focus and calm before diving into a spectrum of hands-on activities. Adding a modern edge, the technology module introduced students to new software, helping them take their first steps into digital literacy through interactive learning. On May 21, 2026, the school organized an Inter-House Face Painting Competition on the theme “Dual Expression” in the School Auditorium for students of classes VII to XII. Participants creatively portrayed contrasting emotions on a single face using vibrant colours and intricate designs. Adding a unique cultural touch, students incorporated Indian Folk Art forms such as Madhubani, Warli, Gond, Kathakali, and Kalamkari to represent themes like Joy & Sorrow and Calm & Anger. Despite the 50-minute time limit, participants showcased excellent creativity, precision, and teamwork. The competition was judged by Jitender Kumar on the basis of theme, colouring, neatness, and overall presentation. An Origami Championship was conducted for the students of Classes II and III. Three students from each house participated enthusiastically and showcased excellent teamwork, creativity, and coordination. Students created beautiful origami projects using paper based on different themes such as Ocean, Jungle, Water, and Paper Paradise. They worked neatly and creatively to complete their theme-based projects and made attractive origami animals and other creative models. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, confidence, and coordination among students. All participants performed enthusiastically and enjoyed the event. An Inter-House Texture Art Competition was successfully conducted in the open area near the Art Room for the students of Classes IV to VI. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all six houses — Chenab, Ganges, Jhelum, Satluj, Ravi, and Yamuna. The competition aimed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and artistic expression among students through the use of different textures and materials. The young artists displayed remarkable imagination and innovation by creating beautiful artworks using a variety of materials such as cotton, wool, leaves, pompoms, pulses, pasta, tissue paper, and air-dry clay. Some of the notable creations included- 'Mother Earth' made with cotton and wool, flowers designed with pulses and pasta, Krishna crafted using coloured tissue paper, watermelon artwork using tissue paper, and Ganesha made from clay. Each artwork reflected the students’ creativity, effort, and understanding of texture art techniques. The atmosphere throughout the competition was vibrant and joyful, with students thoroughly enjoying the activity and showcasing their artistic talents with great enthusiasm. An educational and recreational trip to Crystal World, Haridwar was organized by Delhi Public School, Dehradun for the students of Classes VI to VIII on 2nd May 2026. The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, symbolising the sovereignty and unity of the nation followed by the resonant strains of the National Anthem,. The celebration was further enriched by expressive dance performances and a serene yoga presentation, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and the values of balance, discipline, and inner strength. Delhi Public School, Dehradun celebrated the **76th Constitution Day** on **26th November 2025** with great respect and patriotic spirit. A special assembly was organized to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution and to remind students of its enduring values. The programme began at **9:30 AM** with the melodious rendition of **“Vande Mataram,”** the National Song of India, sung by the school choir. The entire school participated with enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride. Following this, the **Preamble of the Constitution** was recited in unison by students and staff. Taking the Preamble as an oath reinforced the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, which form the foundation of our democracy. Special Assembly and Prabhat Pheri Observed on Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day To commemorate the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, a special assembly was conducted in the school on 24th November 2025. The program aimed to honour the supreme sacrifice made by Guru Ji in defending religious freedom and promoting the values of peace, tolerance, and humanity. The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta, Regional Officer, CBSE Dehradun. Shri Umesh Sharma Kau, MLA of Raipur constituency Dehradun Uttarakhand presided over the event and Shri Dhananjay Chaturvedi District Judge Champawat Uttarakhand was the Guest of Honour. The festivities kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony by releasing balloons featuring the school band and a March Past of athletes led by the sports captains proudly carrying their respective house flags. The events were Graffiti, Caricature making, Qawali, Sufi dance, Poetry enactment, Ikebana, Sweet charcuterie board decoration, Yoga and Short film making competitions. Many intellects were invited as judges of the events. Students showcased their talents through dance, music, and drama performances. The highlight of the program was mesmerizing Sufi dance performance that depicted the rich cultural diversity of our country. CYCLOTHON-2023 The Cyclothon event was held on 5th November 2023 in Delhi Public school Dehradun was a resounding success, promoting fitness, environmental consciousness, and community spirit. With participants ranging from students of 14 years and above, the event aimed to encourage cycling and reduce carbon emissions. The Cyclothon began from school and continued along a scenic route though Kirsali chowk, helipad, arborea housing society, Sai Mandir to the picturesque destination of Mussoorie diversion and again back to school. Shri Sunil Uniyal Gama, the Mayor of Dehradun graced the occasion as Chief guest. Shri Ghanshyam Kirsali, a prominent social worker graced as the guest of honour. The event commenced with an inspiring speech by the school principal, emphasizing the importance of sustainable living. The event featured strategically placed refreshment stops where participants could rehydrate and refuel.The finish line was marked with cheers and celebrations as participants completed the Cyclothon. Sarthak Pundir stood first, Daksh Lakhera second and Aryan Pratap Singh stood third in the competition. The first ten winners were given Gold medal, second 10 were given Silver medals and third 10 winners were given Bronze medals. All participants were given participation certificates.
