Delhi Public School, Dehradun celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with solemn pride and vibrant patriotism on 26th January, 2026. The celebration, centred on the inspiring theme of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, served as a heartfelt tribute to the timeless song that has awakened the spirit of nationalism in countless hearts since its creation.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, symbolising the sovereignty and unity of the nation followed by the resonant strains of the National Anthem,.
Adding musical grace to the occasion, the school choir rendered a soulful patriotic song, capturing the essence of devotion, sacrifice, and unity. The celebration was further enriched by expressive dance performances and a serene yoga presentation, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and the values of balance, discipline, and inner strength. Mr. Shyamdhan Nautiyal, HOD Hindi, delivered a thoughtful Republic Day speech that beautifully reflected the spirit, values, and responsibilities of our nation.

The Principal Shri B K Singh's address formed the intellectual and moral anchor of the programme. Emphasising the significance of patriotism, constitutional values, and ethical responsibility, Sir urged students to become conscientious citizens who uphold the ideals of the nation in both thought and action.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note with the distribution of sweets among students and staff.
